Lebanese Food has largely remained unexplored in India & given its immense Popularity in Middle East, where the Cultural & fashion trends, get somehwhat synergised with India pretty soon, Its a bit surprising to see the slow adoption & slower popularisation of this Menu .... Amongst the Foreign Cusines, which are prevalent in India, Chinese, followed by Italian - with Japanese, Mexican & Now lebanese makins some presence felt ..Actually, we still have very select Restaurants offering Lebanese Menu .... Arabian Nites, (Defence Colony , South Delhi) is one of the Oldest Lebanese restaurants.... Zaitoon, Lebanes Point @ Saket, and now Kabirz, @ Nehru Place, Food Court, are some of the Popular restaurants offering Lebanese Cusines

And Contrary to Popular belief, Lebanes Cusines, is quite right for the Health Conscious people, with Baking, Grilling being the Key Cooking Process - 3of Their Classic Dishes make use of the Baking, Grilling Process .. The Ultimate in Breads is the Fatayer ... A kind of snadwich, which is filled with the stuffings of yooru Choice - Chicken, Cheese, Sausage, Veggies, and baked to Perfection ..These are then served with Hummus (The famous dip, made out of boiled & grounded Chickpeas, lots of garlic, Lime juice) - Taatki (a dip made of Hung Curd, Lots of Garlic, Onions), Pickled Vegtrables, and you have a Nice, healthy meal

The famous Shawarma, again is made of a stuffing of the shredded Chicken, which is mounted on a slow grill & the chicken filling is added with lots of Tomatoes, Onions, Corianders, Cream Dips etc....served againg with Hummus, Taatki

BabbunaGoush, a classic Lebanese dish, is made out of roasting the Brinjal /Egg plant to perfection & having it with some nice dips ...

The Chicken Fatayer ....

The Kimmeh, is a Heavy lebanese Snack, which is made out of deep frying Meat Mince Balls ..... The Meat Balls, however, have a nice gap, created, which is stuffed with the minced meat , and this remains soft & juicy, while the Out side crust becomes nice & crispy
